The theme of the public events at the International Women’s Fiction Festival this year is love. Love in all its forms: platonic, romantic, erotic, virtual, political and social. Love has been studied by philosophers, writers, poets and psychologists. Love is crazy, ecstatic, hormonal and writers and poets have celebrated it since the first author took pen in hand to write about impossible loves, self destructive loves, wild loves, mythical loves. The 10th anniversary of the International Women’s Fiction Festival will celebrate the most intense emotion of them all, the fountainhead of writers and artists, with an explosion of creativity.
Nowadays love has lost its way and it is necessary to bring love back to its rightful place on life’s stage—front and center. Love in all its manifestations can heal individuals, couples, groups, institutions, society itself.
The International Women’s Fiction Festival will conduct A Journey into the World of Love with the help of the great figures of contemporary literature, with psychologists and experts who will display the importance of understanding love, from love’s first kiss in the age of Facebook to those stories which will form the basis of our new touchstones in society.
