Elizabeth Jennings is an American citizen living in Matera, Italy. She is by profession a wordsmith -- an interpreter, translator and writer.
Since she loves words and loves Italy, she has what she considers the perfect life!

She is married, has a 14 year old son and has lived in Matera since 1988. For 28 years she worked as a simultaneous interpreter from German, French and Italian for the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council of Europe and a several UN agencies.

She translates for a number of publishers and taught creative writing for three years for Arteria, a cultural association in Matera. She published 5 romances with Kensington Publishing Corporation, Bernadette's Bluff, Pursued, Joy Forever, Taming Nick and Heart to Heart. A murder mystery set in Siena, Dying for Siena, and a chicklit, Homecoming, will be published by Cerridwen Press in 2005.

She is currently working on a chicklit set in Florence, Bananarama Americana. She is a member of Romance Writers of America and Mystery Writers of America.

Together with Maria Paola Romeo, she is the co-creator of the Women's Fiction Festival, and is President of the Women's Fiction Festival Association.
